One of Hungary’s largest landscape conservation areas. This diverse region encompasses the floodplain on the right bank of the Tisza and the protected areas lying outside the flood defences. 5,000 hectares of the landscape protection area are wetlands of international importance covered by the Ramsar Convention. It is 17 km from Szentes.
