The collection titled „Memories of Brickmaking in Szentes” was jointly created by three local brick collectors: Rita Bencsik, Attila Bugyi, and Zoltán Nagy. The purpose of the collection is to commemorate the once-prestigious brick factories and kilns of our town. The collectors are members of the Monarchy Stamped Brick Collectors Association, an organization dedicated to identifying and preserving the products of brickworks and kilns that operated locally and throughout the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The factories that once operated in Szentes played a defining role in our town’s economy, and the majority of our buildings were constructed using these very bricks.
