The Szentes Lecsó Festival has been held in our town for over 20 years, taking place every year on the first weekend of September. The two-day event attracts many visitors from Szentes, the surrounding region and further afield to our town, as lecsó (mixed vegetable stew) made from Szentes paprika and tomatoes has become a true local speciality for us. Visitors are welcomed by star performers, associations putting on shows, and market stalls. Once you have secured a spot, anyone can join in a bit of lecsó cooking with friends and family to spend one or two entertaining days together.
